- Inspect and replace all gaskets & seals (front seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets).

What is NOT Covered or Guaranteed to be included:
The engine you receive may or may NOT include some additional accessories and extra parts. If included these parts are sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. Examples of these non-warranty parts include switches, sensors, cables, coils, wires, injectors, electronics, belts (including timing belt/chain), hoses, water pumps, brackets, intake/exhaust manifolds, oil pans, turbos/superchargers (if equipped), alternators, starters, and power steering pumps. These are included for your convenience and to aid in installation. Some of these items may not work for your application and must be changed. Warranty does NOT cover labor, diagnostic, towing or rental car costs.

Transmission (Failure to complete the following will void Warranty)

  • Scan, record and clear all codes before removing the original unit.
  • Replace all seals.
  • Install new filter kit.
  • Flush and inspect cooling lines.
  • Transmission cooler must be replaced regardless of condition.
  • Align and engage torque converter into front pump.
  • Fill transmission with manufacturer specified fluid.
  • Adjust throttle position sensor cable.
  • Late model transmissions must be programmed, failure to do so will cause transmission damage.

Engine Swapping (Failure to complete the following will void Warranty)

  • Verify that you have all necessary equipment to perform the Engine and/or Transmission swap that you are performing.
  • You are required to have the installation performed by a certified technician or performance and repair shop.
  • Engine or transmission damage as a result of improper installation is not covered. (i.e. dry sump engine w/o proper oiling equipment, Wet-sump engine used in rear engine layout or used for track conditions without proper oiling equipment installed).
  • Verify that accessories and exhaust will fit your application before installation. Oil pans, starters, intakes and accessory drives may have to be changed out for an appropriate unit in order to function properly. (i.e. many newer engines do not have power steering pumps, this may have to be added by utilizing a specialized accessory drive, Dry sump corvette or camaro type engines will require an aftermarket dry sump system, Many late-model engines may require several accessories and Ecu/Tcm programming in order to work correctly, motor and transmission mounts, custom drive shafts, adapters, custom exhaust equipment, etc.).
  • Big 3 is not responsible for advising any shop or customer on how to install an engine or transmission into a vehicle for which it was not intended. We do not provide that type of support at this time. Late model engines and transmissions must be programmed before starting for the first time, failure to perform this procedure can cause damage and is not covered under your warranty.
  • Make sure your harnesses are correctly installed, verified by a certified technician, before attempting to start your vehicle.
